The Sun, the moon, my heart

Through the wonder of the cosmos, The Sun, the Moon, My Heart invites children to look outward to our sky, for a better understanding of our inward emotional constellations —and to remember that every feeling has a place within us.

Inspired by the sun, moon, and stars, this poetic picture book explores the beautiful truth that feelings can exist together—just as the sun continues to shine even when the moon appears in the sky. Children discover that they can feel brave and scared, joyful and sad, excited and uncertain, all at the same time.

With gentle words and hand-painted illustrations, children are encouraged to notice, name, and embrace their emotions. Feelings come and go like the movements of the universe. They are a meaningful part of our experience —and to remember that all feelings can live together in space.
